Oh wow. I have just found out there is Oblivion Remastered. It’s the remaster of a 2006 game.
I’m a big fan of Morrowind, the game before Oblivion, released in 2002. It’s one of my most favourite games, I even have it installed as OpenMW on Linux.
I never played Oblivion. Back then my computer wasn’t powerful enough, and just a year or so later, I’ve been immersed into some work-related things.
It’s been almost 20 years, and I have never played Oblivion, even a minute of it. I’ve seen a friend playing, maybe for that one minute. I’m interested in playing the game, however I don’t think I’m going to explore it any time soon. And by soon I mean years.
On the other hand … StarCraft is a cult game, it was remastered, there was StarCraft 2, and I never played it. Well, maybe once or twice, just to grasp some of it. Same with Diablo. Never played first or second part (they were present while I was in my school), yet there’s third game already. And I think … fourth too?
So, there’s nothing to be too surprised about. And not that I’m too surprised here. It’s just … how too name it … well, maybe I’m just surprised it’s 2006 no longer 🫣😮
