A Black Hole of Programming

What I both like and dislike about programming is that it’s limitless. Especially in how far you can go.

I started developing some super simple scripts, usually with the help of ChatGPT. It does a very good job at that, if the desired script it simple.

It can take forever, for that small script to become a full-blown app. It can take years, actually.

Developing a simple script within minutes is totally worth it.

Which is very real with the help of AI.

Developing a full-blown app is not, oftentimes. Yet, there is this urge to do that. And there’s learning opportunity for that. Still, if it takes me years to write a thing to automate some simple action I perform once and again, it’s not really worth the investment.

Yet, there’s this itch! It’s still here. It won’t go, and to let it go, oh, it takes years of practice.

If not decades.
