They added a virtual schedule for each bus stop. Turned out it’s very useful!
Each bus stop has its number, and you can either put the number into the schedule — e.g. 226 — or you can search for it on the website: lad.lviv.ua.
The website has no English at the moment. Or any other language but Ukrainian. Yet, it’s still super useful to understand what’s up with the transport.
I have the most popular bus stopes added as bookmarks, and I just open the one I need. So I can see my options quite quickly. That simple. Bravo guys, I expect it’s difficult to get any simpler than that. Don’t spoil it, please!
Others
They have other systems too:
- eway.in.ua is full of ads, and I use it only because I’m forced to. It’s super bad, mostly. Yet as of knowning no alternatives, I used it for years.
- Google Maps is great, as always.
- Yet, it gave me not optimal routes. As a non-local, I had no means to know that it was pointless to wait for 30 minutes for a tram in the city centre, as I could go the other way.
- And it’s too heavy to quickly glance at whether any bus comes soon. Most times, I don’t use it, even on the modern iPhone, not to say some old smartphone.
And these aren’t:
