Miror Does Not Reflect All the Lights

Coming with a flashlight close to a mirror would magically duplicate the light. Until you press the flashlight into the mirror. The body of it will block1 the light. So the light won’t be reflected.

That breaks the persception of what mirror is. Too often, it feels like some magical substance. Yet, it just a glossy thing that reflects light.

Or, the opposite. Mirror not reflecting any light feels … magical. It should do that, yet it fails at it and behaves like a plain wall.

Magic is all around us, if we’re not failing to see it.
