I’ve been in need to send a message to my doctor. Unofficially, the locals use this scheme: Telegram is for personal communication and Viber is for professional communication. I must say it works very well, and I quite like it, to some degree. If I’d forget what both services are.
What they are?
- Viber works hand-in-hand with Belarusian KGB and they have their office in Minsk. I don’t believe the Japanese Rakuten story for a single second, because it’s widely known they still work with KGB and they still have their Minsk office. Even after the ruzzian full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
- Telegram is a russian shill, having all (or most) developers from ruzzia. You cannot trust that shit either.
That makes me very worried. I had to give up my personal data in many layers. First, I had to introduce myself properly, not ‘hey, wink-wink, that’s me’ way I can do in my informal communication with friends. I had to use my real name, both 1st and 2nd. Then, I had to send her my sensitive medical information.
Oh, why oh why Matrix (or at least Signal) not as popular among regular people? I just don’t know how to solve this issue. It’s super difficult to keep even my own privacy, not even trying to speak of my family.
